The standard taxi fare regulations pertaining to the regional capital of Munich apply within the city of Munich, to and from the airport and in the mandatory service area. This means you can rely on the price. All taxis – including taxi & more – use a standardised and favourable taxi fare with a taxameter.
So that our passengers can estimate how much a journey by taxi costs in Munich, we have put together the essential details from the current taxi fare regulations.
Extract from the taxi fare regulation:
The carriage price is made up of the basic price plus at least a fare unit and/or waiting charge and surcharges, without taking into account the number of persons to be transported
- The basic charge is €2.70
- The charge per kilometre is displayed according to fare units of €0.20 each.
The following fares apply:
- Price per kilometre up to 5 kms: €1.60
- Price per kilometre from 5 to 10 kms: €1.40
- Price per kilometre from 10 kms: €1.25
- Waiting charges per hour: €22.50
- For the direct route between Munich airport and the Munich Neue Messe (fair) there is a fixed charge of €51.00
Supplements:
Ordering fee: €1.00
Per luggage item in boot: €0.50
Animals (also in cages): €0.50
Trips with people carriers: flat fee of €5.00 for every passenger in excess of 6 persons.

Long distance journeys:
We will be happy to provide you with a tailor-made offer for long distance journeys and other arrangements. Please inform us of your requirements. In principle, you can reckon on €1.50 per kilometre of occupancy. Waiting time may be calculated at €10.00 per quarter hour. However, the first 15 minutes are free.
